Teaching Sequence:The Lost Dream

TASK# 1
_Before starting: Ss should enter to the blog to listen and watch to a video ( My heart will go on).
_After that they have to visit to a link/:www.youtube.original video.footpage /.In order to get information about "the greatest ship ever built",In small groups,Ss have to summarize the info in few sentences.Do not read word by word nor translate


TASK# 2


_Each group makes public and share their summary aloud.
_ The teacher asks them:
 1 -which tenses are involved and why?.
  2-Copy the text toa text processing software programme
 3-Underline the verbs and classify them.
4-Discuss with a partner about the information you got from the titanic and write a comment on it .which will be publish on the blog.


TASK #3


-Look at the front page of the "Times" dated : Tuesday,April 16 1912 ,read it and invent other possibles front pages for the tragedy( use the power point programme).Ss will publish on the school blog their work about the titanic.


TASK#4


Ss use CMAPS TOOLS to show  the events on a chronological way.


FINAL TASK: Their work will be published at the school demonstration at the end of the year.

    yur topic is very interesting.
    Pls, take into accountthat though you hacve included ICT tools, little use of tasks is present in the teaching sequence.
    Not enough scaffolding is provided, e.g. to write a summary.
    You are going from: "underline verbs" to "discuss in class...">>>I cannot see how your ss can go from one task to the other.
    Can you find three steps in each class? Pretask /enabling task, core task & follow up.
    Pls check LANGUAGE (SEE 4 Cs in CLIL).
